Actua Golf also known as VR
Golf 97 in North America is a sports game focussing on Golf the game was
developed by Gremlin Interactive and published by Gremlin Interactive the PAL
version, Naxat Soft in Japan and VR Sports
in North America, the game was released in October 1996 in Europe and North
America with an April 1997 release in Japan, the game was also released on PC
and Sega Saturn.
Actua Golf is a 3D golf game that allows the player to play
the ball from any lie on the course from fairway, bunker or rough, the game
also has a feature called fast course set up which means the wait between shots
is almost non existent, the player has full choice of club selection and shot
direction when taking shots the player is also able to play amateur and
professional tours as well as play with up three friends. the game also
features the commentating talents of Peter Aliss.

Reviews for this very early Playstation 1 title are hard to
come by so we head to GameFAQs for their user reviews with a total of 8 user
reviews and an average user rating of 3.13/5 with a majority of users rating
the game 3/5 with rating high of 4/5, a total of 57% of seven users rated the
games difficulty just right while 43% rated the game as tough, the average
playtime from three users is 4 hours.

America then Gamedude will give you just 25 cents for your copy, if you are in
the market for a copy then you can pick up one from Gamedude for $2.
Retrogames.co.uk have a used
complete copy of the game in excellent condition available this will set you
back £5 which converts to $6.64 in the US, in the Euro region it will set you
back €5.47 and in Uruguay it will cost you 186.48 Uruguayan
Peso’s, be aware though this copy of the game is for UK and European consoles
only.
Moving on to eStarland.com sadly
they don’t carry a copy of the game used or new so we will move quickly on to
Amazon, where the game can be picked up very cheaply with a very good quality
copy from the UK version of Amazon for 95p with £2.03 for shipping so £2.98 in
total which converts to 111.1 Uruguayan Peso’s, in the Euro region it will cost
you €3.26 while in the US is will set you back $3.85.
At the time of writing there are
no new copies of the game on sale, a used like new copy of the game is on sale,
this copy has been professionally cleaned this copy will set you back £27.88
and comes with free delivery, for the most part though the most you will be
paying is around the £6 to £7 mark.
Ebay.com has several copies of the
game on sale, just the disc will cost you a maximum of £3 while more complete
versions of the game won’t set you back more than £10, a couple of the copies
on sale are the Japanese versions of the game which are priced at £3.99 and $8,
there is also a Actua Golf collection on sale this is all three Actua Golf
games in very good condition for £10.99 or $14.26.
