0 to Z of Playstation 1 Games - 4th Super Robot Wars Scramble

4th Super Robot Wars Scramble is a Tactical RPG that was developed for the Super Famicon the game was developed by both Banpresto and Winky Soft, the game was published by Banpresto as well, amd is the 5th game in the classic Super Robot Wars series and the final entry in the Divine Crusaders Arc.

The Game was first released on March 17, 1995 the game would later get a port for the Playstation 1 and would be released on the 25th of January 1996 the was released only in Japan the later port to the Playstation Network in 2011 was a Japan only release

Gameplay of 4th Super Robot Wars is literally similar to its predecessor, Super Robot Wars EX which uses battle sprites for animations, when a stage begins the characters receive a text dialogue between playable characters to set up the scenario, for the battle in order for the player to complete the scenario they must complete a set list of objectives, with some of the scenarios having multiple parts or have additional objectives added as the player progresses in the story.

On the battlefield the player and enemies take turns in order their units with commands available such as movement, attacking, forming squads and casting special spirit commands basically like magic attacks that are unique to each pilot.

Once the battle has concluded there is some more dialogue exchange between characters before the player is taken to the intermission screen where the player can upgrade units and additional optional parts installed, as well as this characters stats and skills can be changed or upgraded and other actions can be performed before the player continues onto the next mission.

The story takes place 4 months after the Inspector Conflict, the Earth Sphere is once again in peace, however the increase in terrorists activities of the Divine Crusaders escalates and puts economic strains into the colonies which leads to some of these colonies rebelling again, Brigander General Jamitov Hymem formes an elite group called Titans to strengthen the army against the terrorists.

Reviews for this title are next to impossible to find the only review I could find was for the Super Famicon version of the game with Famicom Tsūshin giving the game a 31/40.

This is the part of 0 to Z where is visit five online retailers and see what the availability of the title is, and what price you would be looking at if you wanted to pick this title up, the sites that I will be using for this are Amazon.com,  eStarland.com, retrogames.co.uk and Gamedude.com I know the last one is very location specific but from a podcast I listen to and  I have heard they have a huge stock of older games, I will also be including Ebay.com as well

So lets get down to business with Gamedude as you would expect for a Japan only release Gamedude does not have a copy likewise Retrogames.co.uk and eStarland.com do no have a copy of the game either, Amazon.com also do not have a copy of the PS1 game,

Ebay currently are the only one of the five sites I use that carry this game and they are very light on copies only two at the time of writing both are used copies and are priced at $8 and $12 with both having $ shipping fees, both a complete copies of the game so come with disc, case, manual and cover.
